  1. Nice ID, always interesting to find lesser-used distributors/labels in this show.

Given your prowess in identifying traditional/classical arrangements, do you think you could help me ID a few in some Beavis and Butt-Head episodes?

-Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Star-Spangled Banner both in "The Mystery of Morning Wood."

-Two different cuts of Ride of the Valkyries in "Buff N Stuff" and "The Future of Beavis and Butt-Head."

-In the Hall of the Mountain King in the final episode of the original run, "Beavis and Butt-Head Are Dead."

I've searched APM and Warner/Chappell for these several times, but either they've been removed, aren't there, or I'm bad at identifying arrangements.

  2. You can find Buff N Stuff, Future of, and Morning Wood in this playlist, as these three aren't on the Mike Judge Collection releases.

I'll put the audio of the Mountain King cut on Google Drive for a while.

  3. Even comparing them I remain uncertain on both ones from Morning Wood, many thanks for the ID's on the other ones though.

  4. Coming back here a little later, I think the Valkyries arrangement in Buff 'N' Stuff is the same one in Future of, just exponentially pitched and sped up. I messed with the Bruton arrangement in Audacity, and I think I've closely matched the pitch with the one in the episode.

  5. Hey, I think "Funeral March" by Gary Kettel plays briefly during "Last Post" by Dick Walter and for the drum roll when the cop says, "You're washed up, the show's over!", I think it's either Timpani Roll (e) or (f). Just listen carefully to each recording before you pick your poison.

  6. I don't know if you have any contact with Allen J. or Toonzone since it's down, but I've filled a few unknown tracks today thanks to the GEMA database having a few entries for the show.

    - The unknown Fake Dad track seems to be an original composition by Charlie Brissette and Alexander Rannie called "Fake Dad Headquarters."

    - Hermit Ren uses Jim Smith's "Space Madness Guitar" when the dummy introduces Fear.

    - "Fighting Legions A" by Gregor Narholz plays alongside "Imminent Danger" in Magical Golden Singing Cheeses.

    - The entry for A Hard Days Luck has tracks referred to by GEMA as "Low," "Audio Expert," and "My Kid," all by Chris Reccardi. As the GEMA entry is roughly in order by usage, I believe Low is "Yes, Mr. Haggis, sir?"/"Magic Leprechaun charm," Audio Expert is "clam flies through air," and My Kid is "Haggis pleads." I'm not 100% on the names, but it pretty much confirms these tracks are originals that Reccardi did. As for "drums as Haggis ascends," that track is "African Drums" by Hans Conzelmann and Delle Haensch.

    - I've referred to this before on the Sabam sheet, but GEMA's sheet for I Love Chicken also refers to "Sudden End" by Conzelmann and Haensch as being in the episode. Listening again, it very much sounds like the ending sting is the bit used when Ren says "Marriage?!"

    - The trio of unknown tracks in Eggyolkeo are referred to as "Beatnik Jazz" by Shawn Patterson.

    - Haven't found the "My Shiny Friend" unknown yet, but an entry on its list has a work code referring to a Sam Fonteyn work under KPM.

    - The Superstitious Stimpy track when Stimpy describes Tuesday the 17th is "Jewels of India (c)" by Richard Harvey, NOT "At the Museum."

    - The Stupid Sidekick Union unknown when Ren says "Eh... you, uh, have any showbiz experience?" is "Death In Battle A" by Gregor Narholz.

    - "Underwater Harp" by Otto Sieben plays in Ren's Brain between "Sublime Ghost" and "Set to Pounce."

    - The Pen Pals unknown (Ren and Stimpy are blown up) is part of the end of "Death in the City," albeit really pitched down.

  7. -Terminal Stimpy updates-
    - "Harp Gliss 1" [#19] (2:09) plays before "Valse Impromptu" ("...during the blizzard of '69.")

    - The APM track "Angel Voices A" by Mladen Franko also breifly plays during "Shark Alert" [#47] and "Fire Opal" (Turning on the valve)

    - "Timpani - Rolls (M)" plays at the same time as "Easing Tension" ("Accept it... accept it...")

    - I think a pitched down "Orchestral Slide (A)" plays during "Parasol Parade" (Bargaining)

    - "Short Roll" [#14.5] plays during "String Quartet in D Major" both times Muddy collapses dead in Stimpy's hands

    - "Chinese Roll (A)" plays during "Poetic Love Theme B" ("He went with dignity."). It plays again after the same track (The bus drives away)

    - "Splash Hit (D)" plays during "Slapstick Effects 26" (Stimpy starts an analogy)

    - "Showtime Fill (B)" plays before the episode ends (The salesman says everything he wants)

    -Reverend Jack updates-
    - "Showtime Fill" (E) and (G) is the drum rollused after "Western Sunsets," Not (B)

    - "Year of Famine" plays a second time in a row when Jack turns his head to Stimpy

    - I think a pitched up "Suspended Hit (B)" plays at the same time as "Armed Attack" (Cow says "WHAT!?")

    - Normal "Suspended Hit (B)" plays during "Armed Attack" (Ren is hit with a rock)

    - "Showtime Fill (G)" plays at the same time as "Wargames Linking Section (H)" ("That's not how you do it!")

    - "Suspended Hit (B)" plays once "Drums and Timpanis" ends

    - "Showtime Fill (G)" plays at the same time as "Panic Patrol" (Meat wagon drives off)

    - "Harp Gliss 1" [#19] (2:09) plays after "Panic Patrol" (Transition to in the desert)

    - I think "Showtime Fill (J)" plays at the same time as the second usage of "Panic Patrol" ("Cripes! It's the highway meat patrol!")

    - "Orchestral Slide (A)" plays at the same time as "The Last Post; Funeral March" ("You'll never serve meat in this town again!")

    - "Showtime Fill (G)" plays at the same time as "Tritsch Trastch Polka" (Jack escapes)

    - "Harp Gliss 1" [#19] (2:09) plays after "Tritsch Trastch Polka" ("4 years later" time card)

    - "Suspended Hit (B)" plays after "Brave Jack" near the end (Ren gets hit with a rock again)
